Alice M. Donahue, 82, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1934 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles Cecil Dean and Doris O. (Coleman) Dean. Alice graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1954. She was retired from the old W. R. Grace Fertilizer in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for 18 years and was also elected to the offices of the Scott County Treasurer for 8 years and the Scott County Recorder for 8 years. Alice was a member of the old Zion United Methodist Church, the Scott County Homemakers Club and Women’s Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Catherine L. Hazelwood and a brother, Melvin Dean. She was married on June 4, 1954 to Loren Allen Donahue, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Pat Bates and her husband Dan of Greenville, Indiana; two sons, Lonnie Donahue and his wife Freda and Andy Donahue all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Marvin Dean of Madison, Indiana and Alfred Dean of Hope Sound, Florida; three grandchildren, Eliza Donahue, Aaron Bates and Torrie Marvin (Blake) and two great grandchildren, Landon Donahue and Evan Marvin. Memorial Contributions: Alzheimer’s Research Foundation c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Private Family Funeral Service will be held at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Public Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery.
