Allen Donahue, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. He was born on August 29, 1935 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Loren Donahue and Therma (Everhart) Donahue. Allen attended Scottsburg High School and was a retired plant manager for Crop Production Services and the old WR Grace Fertilizer in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he worked for 41 years. In addition, he served on the Deputy, Crothersville and Scottsburg Board of Directors at Stucker Fork Water Utility for 17 years and was a former member of the Scott County Sheriff’s Posse and Scott County Fair Board. Allen enjoyed hunting and horseback riding and earlier in life had raised and trained hunting dogs. He was married on June 4, 1954 to Alice M. (Dean) Donahue, who preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2016. Allen was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Juanita Rose. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Bates and her husband Dan of Greenville, Indiana; two sons, Lonnie Donahue and his wife Alfreda and Andy Donahue all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Myrtle Boggess of Nicholasville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Eliza Donahue, Aaron Bates and Torrie Marvin (Blake) and two great grandchildren, Landon Donahue and Evan Marvin. Memorial Contributions: Scottsburg FFA c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday, May 12, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with Kenny Rose, Minister officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
