Alvin R. Pulliam

Alvin R. Pulliam, Jr., 79, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Danville, Kentucky, the son of the late Alvin R. Pulliam, Sr. and Mary Margaret (Fletcher) Summerlan. Alvin was a retired shop foreman and welder for Industrial Disposal in Louisville, Kentucky and owner and operator of Pulliam Welding in Henryville, Indiana since 1965.  He was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church, a U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Clark Lodge # 40 F & AM in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Pulliam and a sister, Louise Lemmond.   Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Rosie L. (Couch) Pulliam; two sons, Phillip (Sherry) Pulliam of Milltown and Mike Pulliam of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a daughter, Debbie S. (Chuck) Mayfield of Sellersburg, Indiana; a brother, Frank Pulliam of Sacramento, California; a sister, Corene Vannarsdell of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jessica and Jason Campbell, Brandon, Hannah and Aaron Pulliam and three great grandchildren, Easton, Harper and Silas Campbell.    Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net.  

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 10 am Thursday.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2014 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
