Anita Kay Hamlyn, 75 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on August 20, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth Harold “Pete” Johnson and Helen Lucille (Smith) Johnson. Kay graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1956 and attended business school in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a retired bookkeeper and accounts receivable clerk at Scott Memorial Hospital and also a former clerk at Scottsburg City Hall. Kay was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church, past President and former member of the Scottsburg Kiwanianne Club, former member of the Scott County Historical Society and Scott County Genealogical Society, former Brownie and Girl Scout leader, former member of the Lambda Chi Omega Sorority and former clown for the Clown Ministry. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Ann Densford. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ralph Hamlyn; a daughter, Lisa M. Biseda of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Joseph H. Hamlyn and his wife Christine of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Sandra Rose and her husband Lloyd of Underwood, Indiana and Judy Johnson of Clarksville, Indiana and three grandchildren, Joel Kenneth and Ethan Scott Hamlyn and Mallory Kay Lasseter (Damien).
