Anna Louise (Williams) Kimberlin

Anna Louise Williams-Kimberlin, 87, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Keepsake Village of Columbus. She was born on April 22, 1929 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late James Gilbert Williams and Lillie Mae (Everitt) Williams-Daniel. Anna graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1947 and in her early years worked at Fewell Monument in Scottsburg. In later years, she had worked at the old Bartholomew County Hospital and Cummins in Columbus. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Columbus, Indiana and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Anna loved to cook, watch all kinds of sports, to read, to use a computer, and to browse the internet. She lived a frugal life and often helped others in need. As a Mother, she provided unconditional love and support for her children. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, First Aid Instructor, and a Tax Preparer. She was married on Dec. 31, 1948 to Blaine Kimberlin, Jr., who died on Oct. 9, 2003. In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by three brothers, Everitt and Warren Williams and an infant; a sister, Betty Green; and three step siblings, Ezra Daniel, Jr., Joyce Jones and Wilma Pettit. Survivors include three sons, Gary Kimberlin and his wife Lynn of Columbus, Indiana, Thomas Kimberlin and his wife Joyce of Flat Rock, Indiana and John Kimberlin of Westport, Indiana; four sisters, Violet Davis, Joyce Owens, Kay Allen and Jane Bridgewater all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepbrother, David Daniel of Michigan; a stepsister, Judy McClung of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Rachel Mitchell, Kathy Cockerham, Michael, Brett and Daniel Kimberlin; 14 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with burial in Everitt Family Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 10 am to 12 Noon Thursday at Collins Funeral Home.
