August William “Bill” Schick, Jr., 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on September 9, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late August William Schick Sr. and Martha (Hubbard) Atwell. He was a retired grocery salesman for A.J. Siebert & Company in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for 50 years. Bill enjoyed golfing and was raised in the Catholic church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sara. Survivors include his wife, Laverne Hope (Rutledge) Schick; a son, Stephan (Juanita) Schick of Custer, Kentucky; a daughter, Stacey Schick-McGuffin of Louisville, Kentucky; a stepson, Brent (Lisa) Canepa of Austin, Indiana; a brother, Tony Schick of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister, JoAnn Dawson of Louisville, Kentucky; and a aunt, Anita Paulin of Louisville, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
