Betty Napier, 92, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Lake Iola Assisted Living in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on October 5, 1923 in Lee County, Virginia, the daughter of the late David Harris and Rosalee (Galley) Harris. Betty was retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana and a former employee for the old US Shoe Corporation in Crothersville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a son, Bob Goens; a brother, Bill Harris; two sisters, Ruby Lykins and Rhoda Fawbush; a granddaughter, Kimberly Steinkamp and a grandson, James Zollman. Survivors include her husband, Carl Napier; two daughters, Bonnie Fewell and her husband Danny Bowling of Scottsburg, Indiana and Peggy J. Bowling of Scottsburg, Indiana; four sisters, Pearl Osman and her husband John of Austin, Indiana, Jean Harris of Salem, Indiana, Carolyn Sue Staley of Florida and Mary Boggs of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Robbie, Tommy and Loren Goens, Pam MacIntosh, Todd Weddle, Tammy Meeks, Barbara Howard and John Walker; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
