Billy E. McClellan

Billy E. McClellan, 82, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on October 26, 1934 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Elsworth McClellan Sr. and Naomi (McQuilling) McClellan. Billy was a retired employee of Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana. In addition, he was the former owner and operator of the old McClellan’s Welding Shop in Scottsburg and had also worked at the old U.S. Shoe Corporation in Crothersville, Indiana. He was a member of the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and a former member of the IOOF Lodge. Billy enjoyed caring for and seeing his many horses and ponies on his property. He was married on August 28, 1955 to Geneva M. (Deal) McClellan, who survives. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elsworth McClellan, Jr. Survivors in addition to his wife Geneva include a daughter, Becky and husband Bryan Scott of Lexington, Indiana; two sons, Earl and wife Karen McClellan of Scottsburg, Indiana and Marvin McClellan of Lexington, Indiana; a grandson, William Best and his wife Valerie; three great grandchildren, Logan, Dylan and Aubrey; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, July 31, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Johns officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
