Carol J. Weaver, 86, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. She was born on July 14, 1930 in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of the late Richard Plessinger and Margaret (Butler) Plessinger. Carol worked in public service for most of her life and was also the Scott County Auditor and Scott County Cartographer. She graduated from Scottsburg High School, was a member of the old Blocher United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Malvern Plessinger and one great grandchild, Ezekiel. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Sue Cross and Mary Denney and her husband Ted all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons, John Weaver and his wife Becky of Indianapolis, Indiana and Joe Weaver of Lexington, Indiana; a sister, Joy Collins and her husband Oakley of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Larry Plessinger and his wife Betty of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Amy, Jason, Kathy, Matt, Megan, Riley, Ben, Nicole, and Joe; twelve great grandchildren, Kailea, Taylor, Trenton, Hannah, Liam, Edie, Wyatt, Egan, Izabell,  Jasper, Katherine, and Abbigial and two great great grandchildren, Raegan and Ryleigh.

Funeral Service:
2:00 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Blocher, Indiana.
Visitation: 12 to 2 pm Friday at Collins Funeral Home.

Carol was instrumental mentor to me when I first was elected Surveyor.Carol was the first person I ask to be on the newly established Drainage board. She was such an asset for county government,let alone her family.My deepest condolences to her family.
