Technically we are strangers who had a 30-min conversation at the Deputy Post Office back in Dec 2011. I was visiting Deputy, IN along with another Deputy family historian also named Marilyn (Deputy). When you heard us talking about the town, you kindly introduced yourself. You shared info you knew including giving us local contacts re: other Deputy families. You indicated you were living with your son in town, and he was helping you thru some healing health isdues. You were so excited to be spending time with your grandchildren, which we both were experiencing for ourselves. God Bless our grandchildren! When we parted, we exchanged phone numbers with hopes of meeing up again when I returned to Deputy. Although I have called that number many times when I was heading to Jennings County, I never reached anyone. Today when I called, I was told its no your number. I googled your name, and discovered you had died. May you rest in peace, dear Carole. I will remember you, and offer a prayer for your hospitality to 2 strangers passing thru town.
