Clifton Leon Mosier, 99, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on June 9, 1917 in Summer Shade, Kentucky, the son of the late George Mosier and Hettie V. (Word) Mosier. Leon was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hettie V. Mosier; father and stepmother, George and Mae Mosier and five brothers, Denzil, Delbert, Doyle, Vernon and Earl Mosier. Survivors include a half sister, Lucy Barrett of Sulphur, Louisiana; a half brother, Kenny Mosier of Scottsburg, Indiana and several nieces and nephews, including Bobbi Smith, who was his care giver.

Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Private interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.

RIP uncle Leon. I have wonderful memories of times with you growing up. He always called me Ringo. Bobbi, thank you for taking care of him.
