Connie J. Oaks, 69, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Scott Villa Living Center.  She was born on October 11, 1944 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Loman and Dorothy Frances (Clark) Alexander.  Connie graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1962 and then earned an Associate Degree in Medical Coding from Indiana University Southeast. She was a retired medical coder for King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana and also former Director of Medical Records at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana and a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Survivors include her daughter, Robin Oaks in Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Randall J. Oaks (Dawn) of Austin, Indiana; two brothers, James Alexander of Scottsburg, Indiana and Charlie Alexander; three grandchildren, Tabatha Thompson (Shayne), Jordanne Oaks and Lauren Freeze and two great grandchildren, Aiden and Shelby Abner.    Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
