Curtis Trapp

Curtis Trapp, 86, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born in Jennings County, Indiana, the son of the late Valentine and Myrtle (Donnell) Trapp.  Curtis was a retired production scheduler for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, where he worked for for 33 1/2 years.  He graduated from Austin High School in 1946 and was a member and elder of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Curtis helped build multiple churches, including the Scottsburg facility, enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, gardening and story telling.  He was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Trapp and three sisters, Anna Simmons, Lena Berry and Lois Roth.  Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Sadie Lee (Coomer) Trapp; a son, Randall Trapp and his wife Louette of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a daughter, Connie Trapp of Austin, Indiana; three grandchildren, John Anthony, Valerie and Brian and several great grandchildren.  Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home.  Memorial Contributions: Scott County Relay For Life c/o Collins Funeral Home, 465 W.
