David Coomer, 53 of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Scottsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born on September 18, 1960 in Seymour, Indiana and graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1980. David was a former manager for Wendy’s in Scottsburg, Indiana, served as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army and was a former member of the American Legion Post # 234 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olive Mullins Coomer and Step-mother, Ruth Poggel Coomer. Survivors include his son, Benjamin D. Coomer of Crothersville, Indiana; father, Raymond Coomer, Sr. of Austin, Indiana; two brothers, James D. Coomer of Scottsburg, Indiana and Raymond Coomer, Jr. of Trinity, Texas and step-brother, Timothy D.
