Dean Campbell, 69, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Veterans Administration Hospital.  He was born on February 13, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Sherman Campbell Sr. and Mae  (Miller) Campbell.  Dean graduated from Napier High School in Hazard, Kentucky and then from Bell and Howell Electronics College.  He was the owner and operator of the old Campbell’s TV, also a former Security Guard at Scott Memorial Hospital for 7 years and currently employed at Home Depot in Seymour, Indiana.  Dean was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a life member of the Scott County VFW Post # 6582 and member of the Austin Lions Club.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Napier and a brother, Sherman Campbell, Jr.  Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jean (Cooper) Campbell; a son, Matthew Campbell of Austin, Indiana; a daughter, Deana Schafer and her husband Steve of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Eugene Campbell of Hazard, Kentucky; a sister, Christine Coomer of Seymour, Indiana and four grandchildren, Shannon Campbell, Samantha Hart, Christian and Hailey Schafer.  Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
