Donald O. Green, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at The Waters of Scottsburg. He was born on February 13, 1941 in Bledsoe, Kentucky, the son of the late Chester and Opha (Nantz) Green. Don was retired from the old J. Baker Shoes in Boston, Massachusetts where he worked for 43 years and was also a former employee of Jefferson County (KY) Community College and Collins Funeral Home. He graduated from Loyall High School in 1960 and had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Loyall, Kentucky. Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Green; two brothers, Olen and Edward Green and a sister, Chrystal Green. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sylvia V. (Davis) Green; two sons, Jack Green (Joyce) and Steven Green (Carrie) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Jasmine Rose Green of Austin, Indiana; two sisters, Oma Thompkins of Salem, Indiana and Nancy Cooper of Flint, Michigan; two brothers, Chet and Chris Green both of Salem, Indiana; four grandchildren, Tori Madden, Amanda Green, Kayla Madden and Willie Green and several great grandchildren.
