Dorothy Jean Godsave, 83, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born on December 21, 1934 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ennis Huckleberry and Mary Frances (Davis) Huckleberry. Dorothy graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1953. She was married on April 10, 1955 to John Charles Godsave, who passed away on May 3, 2004. Dorothy was a homemaker and had also worked earlier in her lifetime as a bookkeeper at the old Gladstein’s Clothing Store in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a member of the Zoah Christian Church, had attended Scottsburg First Christian Church and also was a member of the American Motorcyclist Club. Dorothy always enjoyed joining her classmates at the Cracker Barrel at the first of every month to share memories. She could also be seen visiting with friends in the local McDonald’s on a regular basis. Survivors include her daughter, Luann Harsin of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Robert E. “Bob” Huckleberry of Little York, Indiana; two granddaughters, Mindy Harsin-Kirk and husband Ross of New Albany, Indiana and Nicki Harsin-Hamilton and husband Alex of Sellersburg, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Jonathon Copple, Mary Elizabeth Alexander and Benjamin Hamilton and one niece, Vickie Jo Madden. Private Graveside Services were held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Scottsburg Cemetery with Matt Craig officiating.
