Dorothy Jean (Griffith) Manns, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at her residence. She was born on November 30, 1943 in Beech Grove, Indiana, the daughter of Clyde Rosser, Step Father and Wenogene (Lapp) Rosser Dorothy graduated from Austin High School and then she married Seldon “Sleepy” Manns on December 9, 1958 in Jackson, Kentucky. She was a great caregiver for many and retired from Hillcrest Nursing Home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Dorothy was a member of the Safe Harbor Church of God in Scottsburg, Indiana, enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting and was a great cook. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde; a son, Randy Manns; a daughter, Deborah Brandenburg, her grandparents that raised her, Kelso and Elsie Lapp. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Seldon “Sleepy” Manns; her mother, Wenogene Rosser of Valparaiso, Indiana; a son, Ric Manns and his wife Diana of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Kelly Chapman of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Bill Rosser of Fayetteville, Arkansas and John Rosser of Portage, Indiana; an Uncle Charles Lapp of Austin, Indiana, who was like a brother; five sisters, Kathy Howard, Susan Cherry and Diane Brown all of Wanatah, Indiana and Sandy Cuellar and Trudy Boylan of Valparaiso, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Michele, Patty, Anthony, Jerrica, Wesley, Derrek and Michael and seven great grandchildren, Blake, Emily, Jamie, Brooklyn, Brody, Dalton and Parker.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with Billy Joe Deaton officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday, and after 9 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society c/o of Collins Funeral Home.
