Edward V. Royalty

Edward V. Royalty, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on October 3, 1937 in Battle, Kentucky, the son of the late Bailey Royalty and Stella (Riley) Royalty. Edward graduated from Austin High School in 1957. On August 15, 1959, he married Wilma D. (Carter) Royalty, who preceeded him in death on June 8, 2014. He was a retired Assistant Plant Manager for the old American Can Company in Austin, Indiana and also retired from Pepsi Cola in Austin, Indiana. In addition, he had worked at Cummins Engine Company and farmed his property that he lived on early in his life. Edward was a member of the Austin Christian Church in Austin, Indiana and always enjoyed the outdoors and especially raising a garden. Survivors include three sons, Scott Royalty (Ingrid), Steve Royalty (Sherry Jankosky) and Shawn Royalty (Brandy) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Forrest Royalty of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Lois Jean Roberts of Pittsboro, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jessica Patrick (Kyle), Bryan Royalty (Kristina), Nicholas, Jaclyn and Caitlyn Royalty and four great grandchildren, Easton and Logan Royalty and Connor and Keegan Patrick. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, Dec, 6, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Huey officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.

Prayers to the family! Spent lots of time with the Royalty's when we all moved to Chattanooga TN. Ed was a great guy and spent a lot of time with him and my dad working on cars. God Bless!
