Eva Bryant, 87, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at her son’s residence in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on August 9, 1929 in Butterfly, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Curtis Baker and Effie (Fugate) Baker. Eva was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore R. Bryant on June 21, 2002 and also her second husband, Orville Colwell. She was an employee of ITT Industries, where she worked for 26 years and then worked at Cummins for two years before retiring. Eva was a member of the Grace Covenant Church of God in Austin, Indiana. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Campbell and Nell Francis Harship; two brothers, G.C. and Junior Baker; and a grandchild, Justin Bryant. Survivors include two sons, Ronald D. Bryant and his wife Marsha of Columbus, Indiana and Rick Bryant and his wife Nancy of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Patricia A. Caudell of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Bert and Bill Baker both of Hazard, Kentucky; two sisters, Nancy Campbell of Austin, Indiana and Christina Jent of Florence, Kentucky; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gwaltney officiating. Visitation: 11 am to 2 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery near Austin, Indiana.
