Floyd D. Trotter, 80, of Whitesburg, Tennessee, formerly of Scott County, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Austin, Indiana, the son of the late Binford Trotter and Dosha (Campbell) Trotter and graduated from Austin High School in 1956. Floyd was a foreman for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus and Seymour, Indiana before transferring to Charleston, South Carolina, where he retired in 1988. He was a member of the Scottsburgh Lodge #572 F & AM, a Shriner and an avid golfer. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jane Ann Trotter and two sisters, Mary E. Allen and Laura Jane Rodarte. Survivors include his wife, Pat (Templin) Trotter; three sons, Alex D. Trotter and his wife Jana of Lexington, Kentucky, Tom Williams and his wife Tammy of Charleston, South Carolina and Doug Trotter of Conway, South Carolina; two sisters, Judith A. Cox (Ralph) of Columbus, Indiana and Terri Trotter of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Thomas and Alicia Rose Williams, Tanner and Matia Trotter and Chad Chandler and three great grandchildren. The family ask that any memorial gifts be given to Collins Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Sills officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 12 noon on Saturday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Friday at 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
