Floyd J. Taylor, 95, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 24, 1920 in Johnson County, Indiana, the son of the late Charles M. Taylor and Cordelia (Wayman) Taylor. Floyd graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1939. He was a retired Parts Manager for the Old Garriott and Dobbins Chevrolet Dealerships, a member of the Vienna Baptist Church and U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Rosamond (Reed) Taylor; two daughters, Carolyn Price and Patricia Ann Taylor; four brothers, Hansel, Estel, Ira and Lawrence Taylor and three sisters, Ershel, Ruby and Hazil. Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Dennis of Greenwood, Indiana; a son, Ronald D. Taylor and his wife Denise of Scottsburg, Indiana; five grandchildren, David Brown, Jenny Brown-Smith, Missy Dennis-Smith, Jeff and April Taylor; three great grandchildren, Josh, Jay and Carolyn Smith and two great great grandchildren, Jane Elise and Jordan Elizabeth Smith.
