Frances K. Everitt

Frances K. Everitt, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana, was called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at The Laurels of Summit Ridge in Asheville, North Carolina.  She was born on June 11, 1926, in Fulton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Mae (Warford) Allen.  Frances was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsburg First Christian Church, where she served as a Library attendant, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and in many other activities.   In addition to her church, she was a former member of the Scottsburg PTA, Scott County Garden Club, Past President and member of the Scott County and Indiana Poetry Clubs, member of DAR and a former 4H Leader. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Benjamin Everitt on Dec. 13, 2008, and three sisters.  Survivors include two sons, Thomas F. Everitt (Diann) of Auburn, Indiana, and Benjamin A. Everitt (Janet) of Lexington, Indiana;  two daughters, Kathleen Jones of Asheville,  North Carolina, and Eve Everitt Hickey (Dale) of Asheville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Thomas Jeffery Everitt, Americia Everitt Goodman, Lauren Eve Hickey, Luke Daniel Hickey, Dustin Matthew Benjamin Everitt, Logan Dale and Lance Everitt Hickey and Kristen Kathleen Irizarry and three great grandchildren, Levi Thomas Hickey, Gabriel and Grace Goodman and Wyatt Thomas Irizarry.

Funeral Service:
2:00 pm Thursday, April 28, 2016,
at Collins Funeral Home with burial in the Everitt Family Cemetery.
Visitation: 1 to 2 pm Thursday. Online
