Frederick Blaine Neuhauser, Jr., 79, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at in Lake Iola Assisted Living. He was born on December 2, 1936 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Frederick Blaine Neuhauser Sr. and Dodie (Pangburn) Neuhauser. Fred graduated from Austin High School in 1955, was a retired machinist and gunsmith and also a former Financial Manager for the old Vest Home Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association, American Legion Post #234, Scott County VFW Post #6582, Moose Family Center #2324 and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Neuhauser of Scottsburg, Indiana and Shannon Blackerby and her husband John of Henderson, Nevada; a son, Blaine Neuhauser and his wife Linda of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; a sister, Sandy Mayfield and her husband Gary of Austin, Indiana; four grandchildren, Mikal Weatherholt (Gabrielle), Ashley Coffman (Chandler), Emily and Noah Neuhauser and two nephews, Chuck and Dan Mayfield.
