Helen B. Bowling, 94, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on April 11, 1922 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Forrest K. McDaniel and Eva (Cass) McDaniel. Helen was a bookkeeper for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, Columbus Regional Hospital and also had worked at the old Royal Bank in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and was the past President of American Baptist Women Great Region Association in Illinois and Missouri. She married to Rev. Robert Bowling, who preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2002. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Burk; a brother, Kenneth McDaniel and a granddaughter, Sherry Love. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Davis and her husband Chuck of Scottsburg, Indiana and Sandra Klopfer and her husband Dan of Edwardsville, Illinois; two sons, Robert L. Bowling and his wife Rachel of Melbourne, Florida and James K. Bowling and his wife Sabrina of Edwardsville, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
