Herbert Michael “Mike” Bullard, 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 14, 1948 in St. Paul, Indiana, the son of the late Joe Herbert Bullard and Delores Mildred (Eaken) Bullard. Mike graduated from Jennings County High School in 1969, then attended IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ivy Tech in Columbus, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. He was a former employee of the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville,Indiana. Mike had also worked at Diamet in Columbus, Indiana, Big Blue in Seymour, Indiana and various other factories. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and afterward continued to serve his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. Mike enjoyed watching TV and was an avid IU fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Dorthelda Sue Eichorn, Jackie Darlene Bullard and Betty Jo Kopp and two brothers, Joe Orlie and Steve Dale Bullard. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Alberta Jean (Haven) Bullard; three sisters, Mary Delores Shafer of Greensburg, Indiana, Doris Jean Koenigkramer of Greensburg, Indiana and Cindy Sue Ward of North Vernon, Indiana; a brother, Dan Lee Bullard and his wife Harriett of Red Bowling Springs, Tennessee; seven nieces and fifteen nephews.
