James L. “Lim” Gardner

James L. “Lim” Gardner, 86, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marion County, Indiana, the son of the late Tiff William and Mary A. (Arbuckle) Gardner. Lim was a self-employed carpenter and also retired head of maintenance for Scottsburg Senior Housing (Craig Park). He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, attended the Little York Christian Church and a member of the American Legion Post # 234 in Scottsburg, Indiana. Lim was preceded in death by two brothers, George W. and Henry G. Gardner. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mildred J. (Mull) Gardner; a daughter, Joyce Judd and her husband, Roger of Danville, Indiana; a son, Jim Gardner and his wife, Chris of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Josh Judd (Ashley), Jessica Collier (Steve), Justin and Cody Gardner; three great grandchildren, Colton and Chase Collier and Everett Judd; three step grandchildren, Aaron Kidwell (Jenny), Donatta Jennings (Josh) and Ethan Braid and three step great grandchildren, Landon and Mason Kidwell and Hunter Jennings. 11:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Number Four (Oak Hill) Cemetery near
Scottsburg, Indiana.
Visitation:
4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 10 am
Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
