I am sending prayers to the entire Rutledge family. Jess is someone who always had a warm smile and handshake for everyone. I can remember on Mother's Day at church how he and Mildred would beam as the whole family would take up an entire pew and be all dressed up. He was such a kind person who volunteered for so many things. I will keep all of you in my thoughts. Vickie

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. What a wonderful family and example you all have been. I can still remember that pew at First Baptist where you all sat and were so nicely dressed and mannered. The love and respect that you have for one another as a family is a great example for all. We know that you have many precious memories. Unfortunately, we will be out of town on Wednesday and won't be able to attend the services. But please know that we will be thinking of you and praying for you. In Christian love and sympathy.

Dear Mildred, sons, daughters and families. You all are in my thoughts and prayers for comfort and strength. You and your children have been such an inspiration to me of love and commitment to each other, your children and to our Lord. Thank you for the opportunity to know you.

May Jess's loving family and friends find comfort from Revelation 21:3, 4; With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
