Jimmy Napier, 75, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at his residence. He was born on February 17, 1944 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Hargis and Hannah (White) Napier. Jimmy was a retired employee of the old DeHart’s Pallet and Lumber in Austin, Indiana, where he worked for 35 years and also ran a tree cutting business and sold firewood. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing. Jimmy was preceded in death by his first wife, Mahala Napier on October 8, 1999 and his second wife, Bonnie Napier on February 18, 2014. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Phillips of Scottsburg, Indiana and Jeanette Stites (Roger) of Deputy, Indiana; two sons, Jimmy Napier, Jr. (Tara) of Deltona, Florida and Roger Napier (Lynn) of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Charles E. Napier (Andrea Gabbard) of Austin, Indiana; five sisters, Annette Apple (Dallas) of Salem, Indiana, Betty Williams of Austin, Indiana, Clara Mae Morris of Hazard, Kentucky, Grace Brewer of Combs, Kentucky and Jenny Reynolds (Charlie) of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Hannah Welhelm, Beverly Barrett, Dakota and Branden Napier; his companion, Teresa Shuler and her children and grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be given to Collins Funeral Home to help the family with the funeral expenses. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 7:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 3 to 7 pm on Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be on Wednesday at 1 pm at Spurgeon Cemetery near Austin, Indiana.
