Josephine Williams-Hall, 85, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1930 in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Williams) Reece.  Josephine graduated from Richmond High School in Richmond, Indiana.  She was retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and enjoyed gardening and cooking.  Josephine was preceded in death by her first husband, Everitt Williams; second husband, Sheldon Hall; a daughter, Jeanette Marling; two sisters, Lillian Hayworth and Maudie Marie Clemons; three brothers, William, Virgil and Norman Reece and one great granddaughter, Jazlyn Pearcy. Survivors include two sons, Bill Williams and his wife Joni of Underwood, Indiana and James “Jimmy” Williams and his wife Dessalena of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Jamie Williams of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Mildred Townsend of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Edward Reece of West Harrison, Indiana and Garner Reece of Taylorsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with Phil LaMaster officiating. Visitation: 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday.   Interment will be in Cravens Cemetery in Vienna, Indiana.

Jo was one of a kind and such a special friend to us. She was a master gardner and shared freely out of her bounty. She also shared her wisdom. We will truly miss her. We want you, her family, to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. What precious memories we all have of this wonderful spunky woman who had a heart of gold. She was the best Aunt ever. I have fond childhood memories of Aunt Jo. I'll miss her and her giving and loving heart. She was truly a wonderful person.
