Judy P. Allen, 67, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her residence. She was born on May 8, 1951 in Larue County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Morris W. Arnett and Mildred Frances (Powers) Arnett. Judy graduated from East Hardin High School in Glendale, Kentucky in 1969 and was married on Oct. 30, 1970 to John Ashby Allen, Sr. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Scottsburg High School in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for 32 years and a member of the old First Southern Baptist Church in Scottsburg. Judy enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and gardening. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John Ashby Allen, Sr. a son, John Ashby Allen, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Millersburg, Kentucky; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Helsley and her husband Shane of Augusta, Georgia; two brothers, Leonard Arnett and his wife Brenda and Larry Arnett all of Rineyville, Kentucky; two sisters, Pat Pearman and her husband Jacob and Dotty Williams and her husband Lee all of Radcliff, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Bethany Godsey and her husband Terry, Brecken and Athea Averly Helsley and one great grandson, Riggs Godsey. Memorial Contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Shuler and Steve Rumple officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Sunday and after 10 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.

Kim and family we are so sorry for your loss your mom was a beautiful person and now she’s in gods hands as one of his beautiful angels to watch over all of you We are so happy she had time with Athea I know that brightened her spirits she may be gone but she will always be with you.
