Larry Cartwright Horn

Larry Cartwright Horn, 69, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at New Albany Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. He was born in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Robert “Bob” Horn and Bertha Mae (Craig) Abernathy.  Larry was a retired truck driver for Rumpke of Indiana,  where he worked for 14 years, also a former truck driver for the old W.R. Grace Fertilizer Company and a Baptist.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie and Cecil Horn and two sisters, Dora Mae Neace and Robin Bracewell.   Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rose Mary (Reneau) Horn; two sons, Larry J. Horn of Scottsburg, Indiana and Robert  H. Horn of Underwood, Indiana; four daughters, Tina R. McIntosh (Greg) of Underwood, Indiana, Connie D. Richie (Ed Amick), Janice F. Horn (Rick) and Loretta J. Higdon (Ken) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Terry Miller of Summitville, Indiana and Sondra Dee Murdock of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Sean, Tara and Tyler McIntosh, Levi, Ryan and John Brandenburg, D.J. Higdon, Ashley King, Jessica Whitridge, Jaden Horn and Clinton Soloe and seven great grandchildren, Landon, Issac, Maddie, Brantley, Dane, Rylan and Jordan. Funeral Service:
Cremation was requested. Memorial Service: 1:00 pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Collins officiating.
Visitation:
11 am to 1 pm Saturday.
Memorial Contributions: Alzheimer's Research Foundation c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

So very sorry to hear if the great loss to your family. Larry was such a wonderful neighbor and was always willing to help us in anything we asked. We have sure missed Him since He has been gone and we will always miss Him. Our sympathy, condolences, thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
