Leroy Swift, Jr., 59, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence. He was born on March 5, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Leroy Swift Sr. and Mary Ellen (Lee) Crockett. Leroy was a retired truck driver for B & J Trucking in Jeffersonville, Indiana and also formally drove for NDL Trucking in Sellersburg, Indiana. He attended the New Life Assembly of God in Scottsburg, Indiana and enjoyed boating, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren. Leroy was preceded in death by stepson, Marvin Hahn. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Carol M. (Luttrull) Hahn-Swift; a son, David Eugene Swift of Winston Salem, North Carolina; a daughter, Evelyn Mae Swift (Nate) of Columbus, Indiana; a stepson, Walter Hahn (Renita) of Scottsburg, Indiana; three stepdaughters, Yelonda Heneisen (Marvin) of Evansville, Indiana, Caroline Hahn of Scottsburg, Indiana and Melissa Wessel (Bradley) of Brownstown, Indiana; a brother, Phillip Swift (Maria) of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters, Maggie Mosley of Laurel, Delaware, Evelyn Mae Schultz (Joseph) of Halethorpe, Maryland and Debbie Davis of Louisville, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
