Lester G. Crudden

Lester G. Crudden, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 18, 1936 in Morocco, Indiana, the son of the late Wilbur and Mabel (Loughridge) Crudden and was a graduate of Brook High School in Brook, Indiana. Lester was a retired Engineman First Class from the U.S. Navy also a retired laborer for the old Capitol Products in Kentland, Indiana and had worked at Huck’s in Austin, Indiana. He was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church, was U.S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War and a member of the American Legion Post # 0364 in Brook, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Chester Dean Crudden. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Nora E. (Spencer) Crudden; three daughters, Tena Woenker and her husband Tim of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Alicia Tay Bunning of Buckeye, Arizona and Maylynn Ohanis of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons, William Crudden and his wife Beth of West Lafayette, Indiana and Charles Crudden of Derry, New Hampshire; a sister, Violet Mae Crudden of Scottsburg, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
