Louise Carlisle, 95, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 25, 1919 in Lexington, Indiana, the daughter of the late David Frances “Frank” and Anna Katherine (Righthouse) Johnson. Louise graduated from Lexington High School in 1937. She was a retired assembler for Grote Industries in Madison, Indiana, a member of New Bethel Church in Chelsea, Indiana and the Lexington Historical Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carlisle; a brother, Clifton Johnson and a grandson, Timothy Wayne Burr. Survivors include a son, Steve Carlisle and his wife Jeannie of Lexington, Indiana; two daughters, Virginia Rutherford and her husband Bob and Sheila Barrett all of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, Courtney Cullins, Robin Smith (Daniel) and Tim Burr; nine great grandchildren, Leighanna Miller, Chelsea, Jasmin and Austin Bowlin, John and Nicholas Cullins, Kaylia and Katelynn, Hannah and Emily Burr; two step great grandchildren, Jacob and Kaleb Smith and one great great granddaughter, Sophia Burr.  Memorial Contributions: New Bethel Cemetery Association c/o Collins Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 5:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Bowman officiating.
Interment will be private in New Bethel Cemetery.
