Lutricia “Lu” Pigg, 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Waters of Scottsburg. She was born on October 20, 1948 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gilbert Hyde and Dorothy (Eversole) Hyde. Lu was married on December 17, 1977 to Marshall E. “Eddie” Pigg, who preceded her in death on November 7, 2017. She was a retired quality control employee of the old Holm Industries in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for 25 years. She also had worked at ILPEA for 4 years, Genesis Plastics for 3 years and Walmart for 3 years. In addition to her husband, Lu was preceded in death by seven siblings, Margaret, Sudie, Rose, Evelyn, Frank, Gilbert and Dick. Survivors include two sons, Hank R. Williams and Lowell R. Williams, II both of Austin, Indiana; a daughter, Lora Sobczak of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Charlene Head of Henryville, Indiana; three sisters, Fannie Dezarn and Hazel Houston both of Manchester, Kentucky and Bammer Steele of Conroe, Texas; a brother, Dan Hyde of Blocher, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Everitt Family Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Collins officiating.
