Marie C. Rockey, 87 of Austin, Indiana passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was born on December 1, 1928 in Buckhorn, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Bradley and Eliza (Riley) Campbell. She was a former employee of I.C.I. America in Charlestown, Indiana and also worked at McClain Studio for 3 years. She was a member of the Scottsburg First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and a resident of Scott County for most of her life. She was married to Fred W. Rockey, who passed away August 9, 2006. Survivors include: three sons: E. Randy (Carolyn) Chasteen of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; Greg A. (Sandy) Chasteen of Scottsburg, Indiana and David (Karen) Rockey of Austin, Indiana; two daughters: Debby (Steve) Rumple of Scottsburg, Indiana and Libby (Rick) Richardson of Austin, Indiana; two stepdaughters: Angela (Fred) Siegel of Anchorage, Kentucky and Cindy (Charles) Crum of New Albany, Indiana; a stepson: Chris Rockey of Salem, Indiana. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son: Brian Rockey and a grandson Bret Rumple.

Memorial Contributions: Kids First or We Care c/o Collins Funeral Home.

 

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.

My deepest condolences to the Rockey family. My heart breaks for you over your loss. During difficult times our Heavenly Father says to throw our burdens on him and he will sustain us. Pray to him and he will give us peace that is beyond all understanding. Especially now do we need to lean on him to experience His divine comfort. Loving thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with you.
