Maud Roy Gray

Maud Roy Gray, 95, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born August 4, 1923 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clarence Breedlove and Martha (Cochran) Breedlove. Maud Roy was the retired Vice President and a Director for the old Austin State Bank in Austin, Indiana, where she also worked as a bookkeeper and teller from 1944 to 1985. In addition, she had previously worked in the office at Morgan Foods from 1941 to 1944. Maud Roy was a lifetime resident of Scott County, Indiana and a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church. She also had been an active member of the Scott County Historical Society, Scott County Genealogical Society, Lexington and Louisville Historical Society, Scott County Friends of the Library, Scott County Preservation Alliance and had served as Secretary for the Scottsburg Cemetery Association. Maud Roy was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Gray on Dec. 29, 2002; two sisters, Mary Dale Nicholson and Jane Bunch; and a brother, Gordon Breedlove. Survivors include three sons, Larry J. Gray and his wife Judy of Commiskey, Indiana, Philip A. Gray and his wife Crystal of Johnson City, Tennessee and Brent L. Gray and his wife Joyce of North Vernon, Indiana; a grandson, Christopher Gray of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Lois Maggard of Sebastian, Florida and Diane Elliott of Scottsburg, Indiana. Expressions of Sympathy: Scottsburg United Methodist Church or Scott County Historical Society c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Waggoner officiating. Visitation: 5 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
