We have known Merrill for about 2 years as he was a resident at Golden Living, in the REM unit, with my step-father Les Frye. We spent time with him during the evening meal about 3 times per week. He was our buddy! Although we couldn't have long conversations we enjoyed him so much especially his smile! He was a charmer. Wish we had known him before the illness. Prayers for the family. Tammy and Randy Carter.

Jim, So sorry for your loss. We couldn't make it by tonight, but want you to know you are in our thoughts at this time. Your Friends, Mark & Peggy

From: Bob Akers

Mike and Perry, just saw your Dad's obituary and wanted to touch bases with you. Lot of water has gone under the bridge since we together at the Broadview church in the 60s, but I still remember you guys and your family. I hope life has been good to you. I'm in Kentucky (since 1989), my son Rob Akers pastors the Broadview church now. It would be grand if we could connect again after all these years. My parents are gone (Dad 1971 and Mom 1987). Oldest brother and sister, Jim and Shirley have passed. Sorry for your loss, I remember your dad well. Take care, Bob Akers
