Mildred Aline “Millie” Devers, 98, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Hampton Oaks Health Campus. She was born on June 13, 1921 in Mercer County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late J.C. Roberts and Ella (Crossfield) Roberts. Millie was a retired drug store supervisor for the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; a son, Curt C. Devers; three brothers, Earl, Bobby Lee and J.C. Roberts, Jr. and a sister, Helen Hammock. Survivors include a son, W.J. “Dub” Devers and his wife Judy of Grand Ledge, Michigan; a sister, Ida Rena Strouse of Bee Spring, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Roberts of Deputy, Indiana; two grandchildren, Sharon Naukam and her husband Drew and Daniel Devers and his wife Jennifer; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Contributions may be given to Scottsburg United Methodist Church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Waggoner officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday and after 10 am Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Leota, Indiana.
