Dear Greg and Gwen, I'm so very sorry to hear about your mother's passing. The first time I met Nora was when your Dad brought her to Grandma's and we were all there. I thought she was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen. As a child, I remember visiting your house and always finding a treat. On a table inside the entryway, she would always place a bowl of Kraft caramels...and of course I didn't mind helping myself. Although it's been many, many years since I've seen Nora, I remember her with fondness. My deepest sympathy, Dianne Hounsel Everett

I love you Mondo. You were such a strong, caring woman of deep faith and conviction and I'm so sorry that my children won't be able to know you. Thank you for being my grandma.

A message of gratitude from Gwen Voyles, Greg Hounsel and the family of Nora Dyer We would like to publicly thank the staff of Lake Pointe Village for the excellent care they provided our mother, Nora Dyer, these past few years. Losing a loved one to Dementia is a cruel process, for the individual and the family. In one of my visits with her, when she still had lucid moments, as I was leaving she said "I am so glad we found this place. They are so good to me." I have thanked God many times for allowing that moment for me. I can't thank the staff of Lake Pointe Village enough for providing the kind of care that inspired that feeling in her. The last year visiting her became a wrenching emotional confirmation of my loss. It would be easy for some to criticize as my visits became less frequent. Instead, the staff of Lake Pointe Village empathized and understood my pain. They took great care of our mother and were tender to my emotional state. The care they provided demonstrated professional and personal excellence! Please support their efforts in fundraising toward the goal of an Alzheimer Cottage. http://act.alz.org/site/TR?fr id=9019&pg=team&team id=338428 We would also like to thank First Baptist Church Social Committee for the generous support and providing respite and a meal at the end of a difficult day. Collins Funeral Home provided a wonderful service with their attention to detail and gentle guidance through a demanding and sometimes overwhelming process. Last but not least we are grateful to the friends and family that came to share their support, celebrate her life, and raised their voices in singing her home. Gwen Voyles and Greg Hounsel
