Patricia Ann “Trish” Richey, 38, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her residence. She was born on November 7, 1977 in Fort Riley, Kansas. Trish graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1996, earned her Surgical Tech degree at Brown Mackie in Louisville, Kentucky, and also received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Ivy Tech in Madison, Indiana. Trish was a former Surgical Tech at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana and also previously worked at Vail Lumber Company and Circle K In Scottsburg and was a member of the Elevation Church. Survivors include her son, Shannon Kyle Richey of Underwood, Indiana; her mother and stepfather, Becky and Hershel Simpson of Scottsburg, Indiana; her biological father, Sonny Saylor of Austin, Indiana; her adopted father, Donald Richey of Underwood, Indiana; two brothers, James Richey (Lauren) and Bill Simpson (Ashleigh) all of Scottsburg, Indiana;  grandmothers, Millie Richey of Underwood, Indiana and Bertha Satterly of Scottsburg, Indiana and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorials: To the family for final expenses c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Elevation Church with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: After 10 am on Thursday at Elevation Church.

I am sorry for your loss. I knew Trish years back and was blessed to have her as a friend/ co worker years back. I will always remember her smile. She had a look that welcomed people into her life. May strength be a blessing to all loved ones at this time.
