Pedro J. “Peter” Becerra, 62, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on October 27, 1953 in Mexico, the son of the late Dario Becerra and Socorro (Jiminez) Becerra. Peter was a retired housekeeper and mover for Abbott’s Laboratories in Illinois, where he worked for 24 years and was employed at Coronado Stone in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Peter was Catholic and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Lynn Becerra and a brother, Lorenzo Becerra. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn S (Brown) Becerra; two sons, Dwayne L Becerra of Laconia, Indiana and Peter Becerra, Jr. of Austin, Indiana; a daughter, Tina M. Becerra of Georgetown, Indiana; a sister, Juana Becerra of Mexico; five brothers, Andrew, Martin and Dario Becerra, Jr. all of Waukegan, Illinois; a brother, Juan Becerra of Racine, Wisconsin and Javier Becerra of Illinois and five grandchildren, Austin and Kenny Burgess, Meleaha , Braden and Traci Becerra. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
