Phil Pelston

Phil Pelston, 66, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born on February 1, 1950 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of the late Virgil E. Pelston and Edna (Polston) Pelston. Phil was a self employed and owner of the old Pelston Roofing Company in Austin, Indiana. He attended the Frontline Ministries in Austin, Indiana, was a member of the Jennings Township Conservation Club and loved to fish and collect antiques. Phil was preceded in death by two sisters, Cora Lee Kidd and Susie Dunn. Survivors include his wife, Otie (Campbell) Pelston; two sons, Doug Pelston and his wife Amy and Greg Pelston and his wife Paula all of Austin, Indiana; three brothers, Marvin, Paul and Jerry Pelston all of Austin, Indiana; five sisters, Cecil Fergison of Seymour, Indiana, Alice Campbell of Austin, Indiana, Connie Copto of Lakeland, Florida, Beverly Garza of San Antonio, Texas and Sharon Limon of Brownsville, Texas; five grandchildren, Linda Kiefer and her husband John, Matt Pelston and his wife Presley, Emily, Sarah and Maddi Pelston and two great grandchildren, Sophie and Chloe Kiefer. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Campbell Cemetery in Austin, Indiana. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home.
