Phyllis Ann (Collings) Bush, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on November 1, 1931 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Hayes Collings and Grace (Hancock) Collings. Phyllis graduated from Scottsburg High School, was a homemaker and also a former employee of the old Pillsbury Plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana and the old Spring Factory in Henryville, Indiana. She was a member of the Vienna Methodist Church, a former member of the Ladies of the Moose, Scott County O.E.S. Chapter # 107, enjoyed reading, swimming, traveling and making ceramic crafts. Phyllis was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Carol Bush; four brothers, Newt, Joe, Donald and Cyril “Pap” Collings and two sisters, Laurel McKnight and Barbara A. Lambert. Survivors include her husband, Paul Samuel “Sam” Bush; three brothers-in-law, Jay Lambert of Crothersville, Indiana, Earl (Marsha) Bush of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Larue (Virgie) Bush of Charlestown, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Fannie (Glen) Henry and Lottie (Brick) Sentz all of Crothersville, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
