Rev. Harry D. Brooks, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana. He was born on October 24, 1932 in Vevay, Indiana, the son of the late Fred Brooks and Eleanor Elizabeth (Black) Brooks. Harry was a retired machine operator for the old Rexnard Company in Madison, Indiana, also the former Pastor of the Wesleyan Church in Deputy and Scottsburg and a member of the Austin Wesleyan Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, past President of the Scott County Right to Life and also the Bryantsburg Camp. Harry was married on Dec. 24, 1955 to Ola Juanita (Williams) Brooks, who preceded him in death on March 7, 2015. Survivors include a son, David Wayne Brooks of Madison, Indiana; two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Hill and her husband Mike of Nabb, Indiana and Regina Kay Michaud and her husband Wayne of Port Orange, Florida; a brother, Glenford Brooks and his wife Nicki of Princeton, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jason David and Angela Renee Brooks, Misty Dawn Clark, Mandy Lee Terry, Alex Nathaniel and Austin Anthony Michaud and eight great grandchildren, Isaiah, Emma, Luke, Brack, Wayne, Bruce, Allison and David. Memorial Contributions: Scott County Right to Life c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service:
11:00 am Friday, December 23, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday.
