Richard W. “Ricky” Swisher, 63, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born on December 4, 1953 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the son of William Swisher and Katherine (Pfister) Kays. Ricky attended Henryville High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Swisher Mobile Home Service which was in Underwood and now in Henryville, Indiana and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Church in Henryville, Indiana. Ricky loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed camping, boating and traveling. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Kays. Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. (Riley) Swisher; a daughter, Michele Jackson and her husband Richard of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Richie Swisher and his wife Catrinia Locke-Swisher of Underwood, Indiana; his father, William Swisher of St. Mary’s, Florida; three sisters, Lola Davis of Franklin, Tennessee, Marsha Doom and her husband Danny of Key West, Florida and Charlene Fiveash and her husband Carl of Sellersburg, Indiana; a brother, Billy Swisher of Homosassa, Florida; one granddaughter, Courtney Jackson and two step grandchildren, Nathan and Shyla Sawyer. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Henryville, Indiana. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 10 am Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home

beverly, i am so very sorry to read this about your husband. even though i haven't seen you for years,i remember your warm friendship & great leadership when i started working at scott mem. hospital along w/you. you were so patient & helpful,and for that i want to thank you. i only wish this had not happened to you & your family,again i am so very sorry. i will be thinking of you & your family in the days to follow. please know you have lots of friends and family to help you through this. remember the good times you have had together & maybe that will help.....
