Rickey Lee Smith, 55, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 2, 1958 in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Daniel Lee and Myrtle Faye (Vires) Smith. Rickey was a former employee of Bechtel Construction Company in Trimble County, Kentucky, also a former employee at Morgan Foods, Cosco and a former assistant manager Jay C Food Stores in Scottsburg. He attended the Redemption Pentecostal Church of God in Austin, Indiana and graduated from Austin High School in 1976. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lee Smith. Survivors include his mother, Faye Smith of Austin, Indiana; a brother, Edward D. “Fessor” Smith and his wife Mary of Crothersville, Indiana; a sister, Lois A. Smith of Seymour, Indiana; two nieces, Vanessa Warren and Victoria Rudolph; a nephew, Brandon Smith; two great nephews, Brett and Judson and two great nieces, Jayleigh and Reagan.
