Roger N. Shelley

Roger N. Shelley, 82, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Hickory Creek of Scottsburg. He was born in Sanders, Kentucky, the son of the late Fred and Ethel (Hudson) Shelley. Roger was married on Oct. 18, 1973 to Karen (Roberts) Shelley, who survives. He was a retired Operations Supervisor for Indiana/Kentucky Electric in  Madison, Indiana, was also a former Scott County Deputy Sheriff from 1970-1974 and a former employee of Collins Funeral Home from 1969-1974. Roger was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God in Oxford, Florida, served during the Korean War  in the U.S. Air Force, was a 50 year member of Scottsburgh Lodge #572 F&AM and was former member of the  Amick- Baker -Kellum FOP Lodge #156. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Fred Shelley; three sisters, Glenrose Hearne, Alice Caldwell, and Doris Shelley and a grandson, Les Paul Shelley.  Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Larry Don Shelley Sr. of Corydon, Indiana, John R Shelley of Louisville, Kentucky and Kevin J. Shelley of Hebron, Kentucky; a  brother,William Shelley of Warsaw, Missouri; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net

Visitation: 10 am to 1 pm Wednesday at
Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
