Ronald Earl Boyt

Ronald Earl Boyt, 68, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday,August 6, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville,Kentucky. He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Ronald was a former self-employed logger and also a former truck driver for the Old Speed Concrete Company in Speed, Indiana. He attended the old First Southern Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, former member of the Masonic Lodge and loved NASCAR and visiting with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Boyt. Survivors include two sons, Jamie and Cole Boyt both of Austin, Indiana; three daughters, Ellen Poggel of Crothersville, Indiana, Marchelle Boyt of Scottsburg, Indiana and Trina Hughbanks of Lexington, Indiana; his mother, Mary E. Boyt of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brothers, Charles “Chuck” Boyt of Scottsburg, Indiana, Rodger Boyt of Spring, Texas and Kenny Boyt of Tampa, Florida; four sisters, Margie Abel of Venice, Florida, Sherry Menefee of Columbus, Indiana, Kathy Hubbard of Naples, Florida and Tereasa Evans of Walnut Hill, Illinois; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Graveside Service: 1:00 PM on
Monday, August 10, 2015 at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. There will be no visitation or funeral ceremony.
